About Us
Jim Jom, Thai hotpot and barbecue specialist Mookata in Klang Valley. First outlet was
located at Petaling Jaya then to Kuchai Lama, Kuala Lumpur which was established in
2014; followed by Nong Mai by SOI19 at Uptown Damansara, Petaling Jaya in 2016.
Here, you will be seated at a sparsely furnished space, with ample of toilet rolls serving
as napkins on each table.
This unfussy spot is also known for its killer Pad Thai, an excellent combination of equal
moist and well-fried. For pork lovers, there are few dishes that should not be missed
such as Khor Moo Yang, charbroiled and roasted BBQ pork neck which is sinfully good,
aromatic and spicy with good marinating ingredients all imported from Thailand; Moo
Sam Chan Tod, Nam Pork Ribs, Fried Rice with Pork and many more. Everything comes
in pretty generous portions and prices are incredibly affordable.

Despite the numbers of existing Thai eateries in Kuchai Lama, they gained popularity among
local diners for their affordability and wide variety of offerings. Lately, some new dishes were
being added, such as Mama Noodle, one of the most famous Noodle brands in Thailand.
In year 2017, SOI19 was awarded the Top 50 World Top Gourmet Award 2017 and since
the award, they have expanded their outlets from the current location in Kuchai Lama,
KL and Uptown Damansara, Petaling Jaya; now you can taste their best Jim Jom and
Mookata at Vivacity Mall Kuching, Sarawak too.
In Year 2018, SOI19 opened its first PORK-FREE version Jim Jom in Petaling Jaya at 3
Damansara Mall (formerly known as Tropicana City Mall) by the name of BAAN109.
