Nestled just a short distance from the busy China Town of Kuala Lumpur, you will find
Leaf & Co. Café in a building with the atmosphere & ambience of an old kopitiam.
Old-style wooden furnishing and shutters as well as knick-knacks such as the two
vintage metal coffee pots with long spouts up the nostalgic factor. The most striking
element is a wall decorated with mismatched concrete blocks artistically stacked up.
Hermes Mah, the CEO, studied at a secondary school nearby the area where Leaf & Co.
is currently located. He liked the atmosphere and ambience of old kopitiams and that
gave him the inspiration to start Leaf & Co. The name stands for ‘Tea Leaf & Coffee’,
which is the testament to their hot beverage selection.
Leaf & Co. started its operation in September 2016. The cafe’s uniqueness is its diverse
selection of menus that takes pride on Malaysian flavors with Western twist. Its
repertoire spans East & West and it’s ‘pork free’. Popular dishes include the Buttermilk
Fried Chicken and a simple dish of meatballs with mozzarella in tangy tomato sauce.
The Malaysia Spaghetti is also very popular with creamy rendang sauce. Other options
include Satay Chicken Baguettes & Chicken Chop with Spaghetti. The Piccolo Latte is
satisfactory too, though its presence illustrates how this isn't a venue for the neighbourhood.
For Rice and Sandwich lovers, Leaf & Co. also offers a wide selection for you to
choose from.
